This is a test service that lets you ask an LLM (currently Gemini 2.5 flash) questions about various San Jose datasets:
- Police calls over the years 2019 - present: The main points of interest are descriptors of the incident/complaint of the call, block or intersection of the incident, date and time of the incident. So you can ask it things like "How many police calls were there from the 1600 block of McKee Road last year?" or you can limit it to a month or a range of days. Or you could ask about types of complaints, like, "How many firearm complaints were called in last week?" Or which blocks had the highest number of firearm complaints?" Or "Can you show the month-by-month trend in music complaints?"
- 311 requests for service for 2025 - present: You can ask similar questions about top 311 complaints.
- Fire incidents from 2025 - present: Fire/medical incident data records the time the report was received, time of unit dispatch, time of arrival at the incident location, responding station.
- City employee compensation for 2024: City Employee compensation is interesting because you can check out the median comp for different job titles and departments, top paid employees, overtime, and much much more!
